LET'S GO PCFC!

The PCEA Lang'ata Football team played their first match on Sunday 7th of April.
They played against local football team MACHAR FC , the name is inspired by their favourite English Premier League football clubs Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

All in all it was a productive week for the team. They managed to get uniforms and the gear they needed and won their first friendly. Knitting the scarves has been a challenge , some have given up , some keep trying and some have managed to get it very quickly.
We thank God for bringing us this far.

HOW TO START A KNITTING CLUB

Kwaaki & Hobbies would like to start a knitting club to teach others how to knit , meet interesting people and donate our products to charity.

But how do we start?

How to start a knitting group

Before you can start a knitting group there are some questions you should be able to answer.

1. Purpose :

Is the purpose of the club to teach others how to knit and to learn from those that can?

Is it to form a social group?

Is it to learn a new skill?

Is it to dedicate your time to  a hobby?

Is it for charity?

Is it to raise money for certain causes?

 2. Membership:

What demographic of people are going to join your knitting club?

Will it be limited to a certain demographic or will you include everyone from every demographic ?

3. Potential places to meet:

There are several places where people can meet to knit: libraries, bookshops, church, yarn shops , residences or restaurants .

4. Meetings:

You will have to set a time where you will meet regularly.

Will you be meeting monthly or weekly?

On the weekends or weekdays?

5. Materials required/projects:

 What projects will you  undertake?
